The Tri-Parish Works Youth Program supports young adults ages 16–24 who are navigating school, work, or their next step. Whether you are still in school, recently graduated, working toward a HiSET, or trying to get work experience, we help you move forward with clear guidance and real support.
Our goal is simple: help you build skills, gain experience, and prepare for employment or continued education, while helping remove barriers that can get in the way.

Who This Program Is For

Eligibility is determined based on WIOA youth guidelines. A Career Specialist will walk you through the process.
What You Can Expect
Career Coaching and Planning
You will work one-on-one with a Career Specialist to explore career options, set goals, and build a plan that fits your interests and local job opportunities. This includes career counseling, labor market information, and help understanding what employers expect.
Career Exploration and Summer Programs
Through career exploration activities and summer programs, you can learn about high-demand industries, discover your strengths, and gain exposure to different career paths before committing to a job or training program.
Paid Work Experience and Internships
If you need work experience, paid work opportunities may be available. These experiences help you develop workplace skills, build confidence, and earn income while learning how to succeed on the job.
Education and HiSET Support
If you are working toward a high school diploma or HiSET, we can help connect you with tutoring, resources, and supportive services to help you complete your education.
Occupational Skills Training
You may be eligible for occupational skills training that leads to industry-recognized credentials. Your Career Specialist will help you choose an approved training provider and program that aligns with your career goals and local workforce needs.
Training and Certification Programs
Eligible participants may receive assistance with tuition, books, fees, and required supplies. Supportive services such as transportation or childcare assistance may be available based on need and eligibility.
Financial Literacy and Life Skills
Learn practical skills like budgeting, managing money, understanding paychecks, and preparing for financial independence.
Leadership Development and Mentoring
Build communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while learning how to navigate the workplace. Mentoring opportunities may be available to provide guidance and support.
Supportive Services
We understand that life happens. Supportive services may be available to help address barriers that could affect participation, such as transportation, work-related needs, or other approved supports, based on eligibility.
