Employment & Training Services

Tri-Parish Works is the local public agency that provides employment and training services to St. Tammany, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines Parishes through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

Tri-Parish Works offers access to many different resources and job opportunities for all local residents in need of employment and training assistance.  We provide priority of service to Veterans and their spouses.  There is additional access and a referral network of partners to provide customized services for workers over 50, youth between the ages of 16 and 24 with barriers, people with disabilities, re-entry, and those receiving public assistance.   We're here to provide help to all of Louisiana's labor force.

Tri-parish Works is also dedicated to meeting the workforce needs of the businesses in our three-parish area to ensure they have a highly skilled workforce that will help them grow and prosper in the region. We help employers recruit, train, and retain a quality workforce.

Tri-Parish Works is made up of three Centers that are overseen by the First Planning District Workforce Development Board (WDB).  We envision our Centers serving as a hub for connecting talent to opportunities and removing the barriers to those long-term connections.

The First Planning District (WDB) and the Centers it oversees are uniquely positioned to prepare the local area to meet the expectations of its current and future employers. Through our role as the workforce development authority for the tri-parish region, we have levers to align the skills and qualifications of the region's workforce to meet the needs of industry, so all can prosper and thrive.
